Life Goes On - One Second at a Time

I made this video for people who just got ‘the call.’ The day you find out about your diagnosis is like your own 9-11. Space shuttle explosion. President assassination. You know those moments. People can recall exactly where they were and what they were doing. Hearing that you have cancer is like having a glowing hot iron bang into your skin. That memory is a scar that lasts forever. Every patient I talk to about this has a similar experience. The day I got ‘the call’ from my doctor, I thought my life was over.

I didn’t think there was any turning back from stage 4 lymphoma. I thought once I had cancer I would end up in a dark corner of the house, shrivel and die. But with today's doctors and advanced treatments, it’s amazing what can be done. If you have faith, believe in yourself, your doctors, and do not accept anything less than your return to health, you will survive. I know I’m very lucky. Lymphoma is one of the most treatable cancers. I want people to realize if they just heard the news, don’t freak out.

Life will go on!

Get out there and live it.

Music my Marcus Loeber used with his permission!
